Good Morning!

I'm really starting to like this blogger thing. Well.... the sun is out AGAIN, and I am headed outside! Cozmo and I just sent Rafael off to work, and we are going to go play in the dirt for a bit.... I am looking forward to starting my new job on April 10th, but at the same time.... how am I going to suffer when I lose all of this free time? I love actually getting to live a little without the headaches, hassles, and such of working with all women. Just the thought of going back makes me shudder..... but... we need to eat, pay the light bill, and all that other stuff.

Sunny Day!!!

Gosh, finally the sun has decided to peek her head out! I dont function well without that light shining. It really makes me come alive. Its so warm out today, about 70 degrees, that I stuck my 2 new Angel Trumpet rooted cuttings out on the patio, after dumping a whole lot of water into their buckets. They are already starting to green up, and have put on a few teeny tiny baby leaves. I'm so excited! This is my first time having Angel Trumpets, and I think they are going to turn out absolutely stunning. ... I'm really pleased with my latest folk art series.... spring and summer flowers. Here's an example over to the right! Very simple and colorful.... just the way I like it, and I'm hoping others will like it, too. Off to the post office!

My eyes are cross-eyed!

I worked on HTML and editing artwork and candid photos it seems like all dang day! My eyes are suffering immensely, and I think they are cross-eyed right about now. I completed my art listing HTML and (for now) my new About Me page, and all I have left to do is 1 more thing on that. I can then put the Monster House DONE stamp on it, and move to my next project... finishing the stacks of half-done art sitting in my studio. All work and no play makes Amy a restless girl..... gotta go find some trouble! Later....

Busy Saturday

Did a lot today. Worked on a painting, and almost have it done. Rafael "found" our software to edit photos, so now I can start scanning in artwork thats already completed. Yay! Worked at Mom's house for a few hours. Tonight, we are just going to relax. I got a job offer on Friday, and start April 10th! We can eat! Scarlett O'Hara would be proud. "We will neva go hungry again!!!" Back to art..........

March 20, 2006

Its Monday again, and back to the job of finding a job. My recruiter is checking on a contract for me, and I should be hearing back today or tomorrow. My stress level continues to grow, as bills are coming around again by the end of the month. I'm thinking to get a part-time job until one comes through.....

March 18, 2006

We just got back from the Atlanta Thrashers game. Lost 4-2 to Philadelphia, but what a great game! Club level seats.... random hockey violence...... good times, good times. More later....

First blogger, and first post of this neat thing I just stumbled upon. I made it private within the blogger community, but once I stick it elsewhere, we'll see how many nosy people there are out there! Project for the day.... brain storm for my New Orleans painting. I am stuck in a bad way, and cant seem to work out the entire piece like I want it. I think I'll use my sketchbook to play with ideas. I'm really losing sleep over it! My job hunting mission is on hold for the weekend. Waiting on a travel nurse contract in Atlanta (where I live) is hard, but I know one will come through. More later... I hear my husband creeping down the stairs. He just woke up! Cozmo the bulldog, too!
