The last new wedding art in the series!

I finished the last bridal / wedding design of this year! I've named her "The Beautiful Bride & Roses Fairy," and I think she's gorgeous! Her eyes are so peaceful and serene and happy, and I love the large open ivory roses on her headpiece and in her bouquet. She was a lot of fun to create. I love weddings.... :) Now, I can design more Zazzle products with this new image. I'm addicted to Zazzle!! ... And, speaking of art... I received some WONDERFUL & honest insight into the first postcard I designed for my marketing materials from Stuart. Thanks, Stuart! I'll use these up first, but then its back to the drawing board. Thats ok... they're fun to make, and are essentially free, if I wait for a sale. All I pay for is shipping. Good deal! Nancy and I are painting on Friday. WoooHooo! Can't wait!

The colors in this are, wow, really nice. I wish you could teach me something or another (I sound like a hick saying that) about coloring / adding color (like, I don't know, how to do it period). I'm really terrible when it comes to colors. I'm sure you gathered that. And while on the subject of weddings, I have to be an usher (yikes) in my cousin's wedding (in Acworth) in June. I haven't been to a wedding since I was 15.

Gosh, Dustin. You dont sound like a hick! Are you a native Georgian? I am... born right here in Atlanta at Piedmont Hospital. Anyway, regarding color... I just thought you liked yours black & white. I have a friend on flickr who doesnt add color either. One time, I suggested he add color, and he said he liked his art that way. Variety is the spice of Life! Well, what type of paints would you be interested in using? You have to read books and be a complete genius to use watercolor. Oils take forever to dry, and I feel are a bit snobby since they are so expensive to use. Acrylics are my choice! :) They are easy to use, fast-drying, inexpensive (depending on what kind you buy), and if you mess up... you can always paint over it. (Thats a phrase my sister-in-law and I always say...lol I guess its an inside joke, and you'd have to be there at one of our painting sessions.) One suggestion I can make is to find a color wheel online and print it out. I dont mix colors. I just buy the colors I need and "mix" them directly onto whatever I'm working on. Thats the great thing about being a folk artist. I dont know the "rules," and so I can make it all up as I go along. (lol) I think your art would really POP if you just tried using color... :) You're going to be famous one day. Your art combined with your sense of humor is an unbeatable combination. I'll help you any way I can. Just ask! Oh! Have you ever heard of Zazzle.com? Scan some of your renderings (be sure to look at the image specs on each product you make), and turn them into cards, t-shirts, mugs, etc. I think you'd get Zazzle fever... :) Talk soon! ~Amy (p.s.> yikes is right! good luck on the wedding duty. just follow their directions at the rehearsal, and you'll do fine. weddings are a LOT of fun to me!)

First off, apologies for the tardy response. I've been pretty busy lately & haven't had much online time. I am a native Georgian...born in Americus. Wow, thank you for all the (thorough) color tips! YOU are going to be the famous one, not me (thank you, though). I will definitely look into Zazzle when I have time (I've already been to your Zazzle page a few times) That is very kind of you to offer to color one of my doodles! I hope it wouldn't put you out, etc. Thanks again! I'll be sure to email you one. Oh: Thanks for the wedding survival tips...I'm sure it will be fun. It's going to be nice to see my bestest friend get married. It's going to be at a place in Acworth called Cedar Plantation. Ever been there? She has taken me there & taken me on the online tour a billion times.
