Taylor was a 16 yr old young man from Australia who committed suicide. His mother built a web site as a tribute to his life and memory. Make sure you read all of the posts along the righthand side of the web site, and be sure to have plenty of tissues handy. His mother's frantic 911 call is also there.
Click here to read his story... I've also completed a new piece of art - something a little different for me. Its a puffin from a photograph I found in a magazine. These are such cute birds, chock full of personality. I added glass beads to the stone on which he's perched, which really gives it a lot of texture, and I love the way the shadows turned out. Very cool, if I do say so myself. I'm really, really loving this piece! Me thinks I might be doing more birdies, sooner rather than later. A fellow Zazzler has given me permission to paint a red-breasted Grosbeak from one of her gallery photos (which was a stunning shot!). I just may draw that today.
